Dave Lawrence is an economist with over 25 years experience in both the private and public sector. His areas of expertise include:

  • economic analysis and forecasting
  • evaluation
  • employment and labour market issues
  • economic development

He started his career producing industrial sector analysis for a business information firm before moving into economic development with a local authority.

Dave applies rigorous economic analysis to provide practical advice to clients in the economic development and planning world.

His work has informed a number of major strategic plans including the Thames Gateway, Milton Keynes South Midlands Growth Area, and the London Plan.

Examples of his range of work include a national evaluation of UDCs; an assessment of the economic activity and labour market impacts of the Jubilee Line Extension; the evidence base for the East of England Regional Economic Strategy; and twenty years of producing local area employment forecasts for Transport for London and its predecessor bodies.
