Jake is a geographer and geographical information system (GIS) specialist with six years' consultancy experience. His particular expertise lies in creating site-specific spatial databases and custom GIS interfaces.

Jake provides analytical and cartographic inputs to many of the studies and projects the firm works on. In particular he has experience in:

• Employment land reviews;
• Strategic housing land availability assessment;
• Retail studies;
• Infrastructure studies;
• Economic assessments;
• Visual impact surveys.

Jake also has a talent for programming; he can automate many GIS tasks and create bespoke mapping interfaces for any level of user.

Jake has a degree in Human Geography and is currently working towards becoming a Chartered Geographer (CGeog GIS). He is also studying towards an MSc in Conservation Management at Writtle Agricultural College in Essex where as part of his studies he has worked with local companies and organisations such as the National Trust. His experience includes:

• Conservetion management plans;
• Ecosystem services valuations;
• Phase 1 surveys.
