Mark Felgate has a broad range of planning skills and experience gained through working in both local authority and consultancy. Mark joined the firm in 2008 having been a policy planner in local government for over seven years. A chartered planner, he specialises in policy development and evidence base for development plans. His strength is being able to synthesise his skills in spatial planning with social and community needs and an appreciation of economic realities to provide deliverable policy solutions.
Mark offers particular expertise in town centre and retail work and has project managed a number of these studies for local authorities across the southwest, from a small island economy and rural areas to more urban locations. Mark has also provided retail planning advice to private sector clients such as the Co-op.
Mark has worked extensively on infrastructure plans and CIL schedules, strategic housing and growth studies, including housing land assessments, affordable housing studies, gypsy and traveller studies and growth frameworks and masterplans.
