Ruth's experience encompasses economic impact assessments, land use planning, economic development strategies and evaluation.

Ruth has carried out many socio-economic appraisals, including Low Carbon Built Environment Centre in Ravenscraig (South Lanarkshire), the John Logie Baird Innovation Village in Merchant City (Glasgow), Waterhead Moor Wind Farm (Ayrshire), Royals Business Park (Newham) and Jersey Esplanade (St. Helier).  She worked on economic evidence for expansion of Bristol Port, encompassing local, regional and national impacts, and economic benefits of Liverpool SuperPort. Ruth has project managed many employment land studies, encompassing demand forecasting, economic context and building policy options. She has helped develop economic and development strategies for Falkirk/Grangemouth, Pontypool, Ashbourne, Bridlington and Swansea and has led project evaluations, including NRF and ERDF projects linked to the 2012 Olympic legacy and Dundee Innovation Portal.
 
Ruth has a Masters degree in Economics and a Masters in Spatial Planning.  She rejoined the firm in 2008, having previously been employed between 2003 and 2006.  Between times, she was a Senior Consultant at PACEC.
