Shilpa is a chartered town planner and regeneration specialist with over twenty years' experience. She has a particular interest in the fusion of town planning, regeneration and economic development in helping to improve economic prosperity and quality of life.
Shilpa is experienced in the modern planning system and how it interacts with the wider economic, regeneration and community development agendas. She brings a pragmatic and delivery orientated approach to area-based regeneration, community and rural strategies and programmes.
She has project managed major studies looking at the directions of growth of principal urban areas, infrastructure studies and economic impact assessments, she has led on vision and action plan studies aimed at unlocking the potential of regeneration areas.
Her programme management and project delivery of national funding programmes has helped to regenerate former coalmining and rural areas.
