Hastings seafront funding secured
Hastings Borough Council has been awarded £2m from the CABE 'Sea Change' programme for a new cultural attraction on the Stade, an under-used seafront site in Hastings Old Town.
Council Leader Peter Pragnell said, "This is fantastic news for Hastings and the whole area. This money, along with that already offered from the South East England Development Agency and East Sussex County Council, will help support our own funding to make major improvements to this part of our historic Old Town."
Roger Tym & Partners played a key role in helping secure this funding by preparing a business plan and funding bid. We assessed the economic, cultural, social and environmental impact of the plans. The proposed project includes a new piazza, a Jerwood Foundation gallery, community facilities and visitor information.
