West London Retail Update

Roger Tym & Partners has been appointed by three London boroughs to assess their retail need. The London Boroughs of Ealing, Hounslow, and Hammersmith and Fulham have commissioned the firm to update their jointly commissioned retail need study from 2006. It will update their 2006 study taking into account major structural changes in the UK economy and changes to shopping patterns in West London following the opening of the Westfield shopping centre in October 2008.
The study will be underpinned by a telephone survey of 3000 households and is expected to be completed in March 2010.
The team will also look at the role and function of neighbourhood centres within the three boroughs.
