Supporting Charging Authorities
Roger Tym & Partners is at the forefront of CIL consultancy and support to charging authorities. We are currently advising many local authorities and private sector clients on CIL and related infrastructure planning. Our national CIL team provides support and advice in the following ways:

Critical friend support to CIL Front Runners to develop a charging schedule, consultation, examination, and implementation

CIL evidence training nationally to more than 350 delegates as part of the Planning Advisory Service (PAS) training courses alongside the Planning Inspectorate and Department for Communities and Local Government

Critical friend support to two tier authorities in developing joint infrastructure and CIL funding priorities

Preparation of CIL viability evidence by our in-house Property team

Preparing charging schedules through to Examination for a range of urban and rural authorities

Developer workshop facilitation for CIL

Critical friend support to authorities looking to develop CIL evidence ‘in-house’

Infrastructure evidence for Core Strategies, CIL charging schedules and delivery.

Infrastructure Delivery Plans (IDPs) and innovative funding mechanisms

Representations on behalf of private sector clients during the CIL consultation stage through to examination
