Under the new Planning Policy Statement (PPS)12, Core Strategies need to be based on sound infrastructure delivery planning. They should be supported by "evidence of what physical, social and green infrastructure is needed to enable the amount of development proposed for the area, taking account of its type and distribution". This should identify:
-
infrastructure needs and costs
-
phasing of development
-
funding sources
-
responsibilities for delivery.
