Planning for Development + expert evidence
We successfully represent our clients’ interest at planning,
local plan, Transport & Works and Compulsory Purchase Order
inquiries and at examinations in public.
We appear for developers, landowners, regeneration bodies and
local authorities. We provide expert evidence on planning policy
and on the full range of related land use, economic development
and regeneration matters, and have submitted evidence to Parliamentary
inquiries and standing committees.
Examples of recent appearances include:
the JSP inquiry for Hull and the East Riding where our evidence resulted
both in the elevation of the city centre for pure office use and
the formal protection of the Hull city centre masterplan as the strategy
for the city centre; at inquiries into infrastructural and power
generation proposals; EIP appearances on behalf of residential developers
in Cheshire, Northamptonshire, Staffordshire and Leicestershire and
on behalf of retail developers in the West Midlands and the North
West; at planning appeals on behalf of residential, retail, distribution,
mineral working, and mixed use developers in numerous local authority
areas across the UK and the Republic of Ireland; and the submission
of evidence on the impact of the planning system on the economy to
the Parliamentary Select Committee on Planning.
